Tamarind Cooler (Modified and Swapped Ingredients)

Traditional Ingredients:

  • 1 cup tamarind pulp (soaked in water)
  • 4 boiling water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Mint leaves (for garnish)
  • Sliced lemon (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes

Modified Ingredients (Lighter option with swaps):

  • 1 cup tamarind pulp (soaked in water)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/2 cup sugar-free sweetener (agave nectar, Stevia, etc.)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Mint leaves (for garnish)
  • Sliced lemon (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes

Preparation Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together boiling water, stevia, ginger, and tamarind paste until mixture is mixed well.
  2. Let steep for 5 to 6 minutes, then add the lemon juice and let the mixture cool.
  3. Strain it through a fine sieve set over a pitcher and chill for 2 to 3 hours.
  4. Divide the cooler among tall glasses filled with ice cubes and garnish with a mint spring
